  La pointe de venus (Venus Point) is one of the very few good surfing spot you will find in Tahiti. This beach is not surrounded by the protecting coral reef and you can enjoy a bit of waves unlike in the quiet Lagoon.

La pointe de venus (Venus Point) is one of the very few good surfing spot you will find in Tahiti. This beach is not surrounded by the protecting coral reef and you can enjoy a bit of waves unlike in the quiet Lagoon.
Another specificity of the beach, the black sand from the volcanic activities. There is also a lighthouse located next to the beach. Not to be missed
